Something’s Wrong With You People

So, I was looking through some pictures.

There are some really silly pictures that I have been a part of over the years. I’m pretty sure that some of the people in my life are the reason for this.

Something isn’t right here. No normal pictures. I know y’all caused it.

I mean…I didn’t get this way on my own.

This is all y’all’s fault.

I had nothing to do with it. I would never do this on my own.

Except..umm…well. Yeah. These.

Umm…and a few of these.

And, well, there was that one time…

But other than that, I’m sure it was all y’all’s fault that I look like a weirdo in pictures all the time.

Something’s wrong with you people.

  1. I’m so glad you have these photos. Too often people forget to take silly photos, and those are the ones you end up loving the best.

Morbid thought, I suppose, but when I die I want only silly/crazy photos of me at my funeral. I want people to remember how absurd I was. They are so much more interesting than a straight smile photo. I also have, what others have called, the “Kristen Face”, which I do a lot and ends up in a lot of photos (kind of a “blank stare” combined with an “omg are you serious?” face with a slight lip pucker — its very complicated apparently).

    1. Thanks! I actually enjoy looking at silly photos also. It’s fun to remember the time and why we were so silly.

Also, I totally get your “morbid” thought. It’s the same reason that I want a closed casket ceremony when I die. I don’t want people’s last memory of me to be that, just like you want them to remember your fun personality. I totally know that face that you make, by the way. 😉

  2. 🙂 That’s awesome. I don’t think I have very many photos at all from when I was eight til about first year of college. 🙂 It’s nice to have memories… even if they’re goofy.

    1. Thanks! I do have fun looking back through pictures. There are definitely more baby pictures of my oldest siblings since there was more time to take them before the fourth kid came along, but my family still has a pretty large bunch of pictures. I love to look at how we’ve all changed over the years.

  3. Let the record reflect that I took, or appeared in, more of these pictures than anyone of your other friends and family.
