Bump!

Bump at 13 weeks. I feel like it’s kinda early, but there it is. No denying it.

Most days I just feel like a fatty, but Tom insists it’s the baby. Smart guy. Never agree with a girl if she says she feels fat. Just don’t do it.

Anyway, things are starting to fit less comfortably, most noticeably my shorts. I am in the awkward position of not feeling comfy in my clothes, not wanting to buy new clothes because I think I will outgrow them soon, and not needing maternity yet. So I keep finding the stretchiest and loosest things in my closet to wear.

I feel pretty self-conscious about my belly, because I don’t look pregnant to most people…I just look like I eat fast food 3 times a day.

Sooner or later, I’m gonna have to give in and buy some cute clothes that actually fit me. Until then, Tom and the dogs take no notice of the fact that I wear cheerleading shorts and t-shirts every day at home. Like I said, smart guy.

  1. Don’t worry girl! You’ll bee rocking those maternity clothes!!! What I did after I had Caycen and my maternity clothes were too big but still couldn’t fit in my old clothes was go to walmart and buy some cheep (still cute) clothes so I wouldn’t feel bad about it when they were too big… also, old navy has great maternity clothes online (waaay cheaper than the motherhood store). Oh and dresses are the best thing to buy cause they will fit at many different stages during your pregnancy, just remember your boobs will grow A LOT!! 🙂

  2. Go to Motherhood maternity and buy a belly band ( tummy sleeve). You can put it over your pants so you can comfortably wear your clothes for a few more months. It will save you a lot of money from having to buy several different sizes of maternity clothes.

  3. Esther and I also really liked to use a rubberband (the thicker the better in my opinion) through the button hole of our jeans, looped around the button. It helped hold them in place while partially unzipped underneath the bellyband. Target also sells the bands. They are a must have! I think I showed early, also (due to having a short torso). Congrats on your bump! 🙂

    1. Good to know they carry them at Target too. Thanks! I have heard of the rubberband trick for a long time, but my shorts have a metal hook instead of a button. Dang it for me. lol I am definitely with you on the short torso (and short everything else, in my case). 😉
